Installation
guide

Install your filter in 15 to 30 minutes, no plumber needed. Follow each step in order.

What's in the box

Your installation kit

Before you start, take a minute to check that everything is included. This ensures a smooth installation.

  • 1 Puure filter housing
  • 1 CTO filter cartridge (activated carbon)
  • 1 wall bracket with screws
  • 1 PTFE sealing tape
  • 1 adapter 3/8" → 1/2"
  • 2 braided connection hoses (inlet + outlet)
  • 1 quick-connect fitting kit

You will also need: an adjustable wrench (to loosen existing fittings and tighten the new hoses) and a small bucket (to catch residual water).

Before you start

Choose your connection point

Your filter can be installed in two equivalent ways — choose the most accessible one in your space. This guide illustrates option A (the most common). For option B, simply replace the cold water hose with the angle valve in each illustration.

Option A Option A

On the cold water hose

Connect the filter <strong>to the flexible hose</strong> that supplies cold water to the faucet. This is the most common method, compatible with most installations.

Directly on the angle valve

Connect the filter <strong>directly to the angle valve (shut-off valve)</strong>. Use this if your existing hose is too short or difficult to access.

Preparation

Identify cold water & shut off the valve

First, locate the cold water supply under your sink and turn off the water.

  • a Open the faucet and touch both pipes. The one that stays cold is the pipe to connect to the filter (usually blue or labeled).
  • b Close the shut-off valve by turning it clockwise. Reopen the faucet to confirm the water has stopped flowing.
  • c Place a bucket under the pipes to catch residual water. Allow at least 5 cm of clearance below the filter location.
The filter can connect directly to the existing flexible hose (method A, most common) or to the angle valve (method B). This guide illustrates method A.

Optional

Mount the wall bracket

The bracket holds the filter under the sink at an accessible height. This step is optional but recommended.

  • a Choose a location with enough clearance to remove the filter body when replacing the cartridge.
  • b Position the bracket and mark the fixing holes with a pencil using the bracket holes as a guide.
  • c Drill the holes with a suitable drill bit, then screw the bracket in firmly.

Assembly

Assemble the filter

Insert the cartridge and lock the head onto the filter body. A visual guide mark helps with assembly.

  • a Remove the plastic film from the cartridge. Place it vertically into the filter head. Press firmly and screw gently.
  • b Align the head and body so the marks are offset: the line on the head should be about 45° to the left of the arrow on the body.
  • c Push vertically until it stops, then rotate clockwise until both marks align. The filter is locked.

Disconnection

Disconnect the existing cold water hose

Before connecting the filter, you need to disconnect the existing cold water hose from its supply.

  • a Loosen the nut: use an adjustable wrench to loosen the nut connecting the cold water hose to the faucet.
  • b Remove the hose: unscrew it by hand and let the residual water drain into your bucket.

Connection

Connect the hoses to the filter

Each filter has a clearly labeled IN port (left) and OUT port (right). Use them to connect the correct hose to each side.

  • a Attach the inlet hose (female nut) to the IN port on the left of the filter. Tighten firmly by hand.
  • b Attach the outlet hose (male thread) to the OUT port on the right of the filter. Tighten firmly by hand.
  • c Use the wrench for one final moderate turn — just enough to ensure a watertight seal. Do not overtighten.

Connection

Connect to the water supply and faucet

Connect the hoses now attached to the filter to the cold water supply and to the faucet inlet.

  • b Screw the end of the inlet hose onto the cold water supply (where the original hose was connected). Tighten firmly with the wrench.
  • c Screw the outlet hose onto the faucet inlet. Tighten moderately with the wrench — do not overtighten.

Verification

Turn on the water and check

Last step: reopen the water supply and let the water run for 5 minutes to flush the new cartridge.

  • a Reopen the shut-off valve by turning it counter-clockwise.
  • b Open the faucet and let cold water run for 5 minutes. This flushes and activates the cartridge.
The water may appear black or grey at first — this is normal. It is activated carbon dust from the new cartridge. It disappears within a few minutes of flushing.
After installation

Care & Maintenance

A few simple steps to maintain optimal performance over time.

Cartridge replacement

Every 6 months

Replace the cartridge every 6 months for optimal performance. If your water is heavy in sediment or chlorine, earlier replacement may be needed — that's a sign the filter is doing its job.

Housing maintenance

Every 2 months

Wipe the filter housing with a clean cloth and check the fittings for any signs of leaks or condensation.

Recycling

Used cartridges
